[1] 매 절마다 주부가 복용하는 마약의 알 수가 2배로 늘어나고, 마지막에는 아예 더 먹으면 과다 복용이라며 먹지 말라고 호소한다. 또한 절과 절 사이에 주부의 자식이 의사에게 약을 더 처방해 달라며 부탁하는 후렴격 가사에서는 "외출하고 온 날마다 4알을 더 먹는다"고 하며 주부의 중독 증세가 심각하다는 것을 강조한다.
