1. 개요
시드 배럿의 첫 솔로 앨범 The Madcap Laughs의 6번 트랙.영국 뮤직홀 [1] 영향이 큰 곡으로 큰 밴드가 낫다며 자길 차버린 여자친구 마음을 돌리려 곡을 써서 집을 찾아갔는데, 대신 나온 여자친구 여동생을 보고 반해버린다는 블랙 코미디 가사다. 작중 언급되는 '큰 밴드'는 해석이 분분하나 핑크 플로이드 얘기하는 거 아니냐는 해석이 많다. 그러나 시드 본인이 가사 얘기를 잘 남기지 않은 것도 그렇고 핑크 플로이드를 조롱하기 보다는 농담으로 끌어들였다는 해석이 제일 우세하다.
수록곡 중에서는 내용이 명징한데 실제로도 가장 먼저 빨리 완성되었다고 한다. 1~2 테이크 걸렸다고.

Here I go" She's kinda cute; don't you know, That after a while of seeing her smile I knew we could make it, make it in style!? So now I've got all I need She and I are in love, we've agreed she likes this song and my others too so now you see my world is... because of this tune! What a boon this tune! I tell you soon We'll be lying in bed, happily wed, and I won't think of that girl or what she said... |
