1. 개요

성남이천로 13번. 경기도 이천시 부발읍에 있는 성남이천로의 나들목. 명칭은 소재지인 부발읍에서 따왔다. 부발IC라는 이름에도 불구하고 위치가 부발읍 동쪽 끝에 위치해 있어 정작 읍소재지인 무촌리나, 부발읍에서 가장 큰 동네인 SK하이닉스 일대로 가기에는 부적합하다.[1] 실질적으로는 성남이천로에서 여주IC 역할을 수행하는 나들목으로, 여주시와 거리가 그리 멀지 않아 하술할 이유로 42번 국도가 밀리지 않는다면 여주시내로 빠르게 진입할 수 있다.

성남이천로의 초월IC에서 시작하는 광주원주고속도로나 영동고속도로 이천 ~ 원주 구간이 정체되는 경우, 초월IC 대신 여기까지 직진해서 온 다음 42번 국도를 경유하여 서여주IC나 문막IC로 우회하는 방법이 있다. 다만 차가 많아지면 42번 국도가 여주시내 전까지 입체화가 안 되어 있어 여기도 만만치 않게 밀린다.

원래는 표지판에 이천, 여주밖에 없었으나, 이후 신원리가 추가되었다. 램프 자체는 죽당리 소속이나 중부대로와 직접 연결되는 삼거리인 부발교차로는 신원리이기에 부적절한 표기는 아니다.

[1] 장호원 방향에서 부발읍으로 진출한다면 도암IC나 백사IC에서 빠진 후 337번 지방도(황무로)를 이용하는 게 더 빠르며, 성남 방향은 수정IC나 응암IC에서 진입할 텐데 두 나들목 인근 지역에서 부발읍을 간다면 성남이천로를 탈 필요가 없다.[2] 중부대로 용인 방향 → 성남이천로 성남 방향의 경우 우회전용 추가 램프가 존재하므로, 부발IC 삼거리에서 좌회전하지 않고 직진해도 성남이천로에 진입할 수 있다.
