1. 개요
오노미치자동차도(오노미치도, E54)의 나들목(3번)이다. 사업화 당시의 가칭으로 옛 소재지명, 즉 2004년 4월 1일 미요시시 통합 출범 이전의 코누초(甲奴町) 명칭에서 유래한 코누IC(甲奴IC)를 썼으며, 정식 명칭 결정 과정에서 별다른 변동 없이 이 명칭을 쓰게 되었다.옛 코누초 지역을 위해 설치된 나들목이다. 옛 코누초 중심가, 즉 코누역을 중심으로 하는 부분까지는 거리가 상당한데, 코누초를 오노미치도 본선이 들르려면 크게 우회하는 형태가 되기 때문이다. 따라서 히로시마현에서 접속 도로를 신규로 정비하여 도도부현도로 인정·개통(히로시마현도 424호 코누인터선)하였으며, 본 나들목은 해당 도로에 접속되는 형태로 설치되었다.
평면 Y자형 나들목으로, 상행선 진출입로가 평면교차한다. 424번 히로시마현도와는 평면교차(삼거리)로 접속한다.
