스티비 원더의 That Girl이 4번 트랙 "So Many Tears"에 샘플링되는 등 이 앨범의 특징이라면 전곡에 샘플링이 사용되었다. 앨범은 차트에서 장기간 머무르며 수백만장을 팔았지만 정작 투팍은 앨범이 나올 쯤에는 감옥에 있었다. 별다른 활동 없이 앨범만 수백만장을 판 것이다. 리드 싱글인 Dear Mama가 감옥에 가기 전 먼저 발매되었으며 2021년 플래티넘 3개를 달성했다.
