1. 개요

Men's Tear(맨스티어)는 뷰티플너드의 부캐이다. 2022년 싱글 '불편하면 자세를 고쳐앉아(feat. 가오가이)'로 세상의 부조리와 사회적 문제를 직설적인 표현으로 담아내 리스너들의 호평을 받았으며, 첫EP [Master Life]를 공개하여 독보적인 래핑을 선보였다. 2024년 2월에는 발매 전부터 SNS에서 유명해진 곡 'AK47'로 멜론 최신 차트에서 1위를 기록하며 탄탄한 입지를 쌓았다.

맨스티어 크루 중 케이셉 라마, 포이즌 머쉬룸이 지원영상을 올렸다.

케이셉 라마는 이 지원영상을 통해 최제우의 도발을 받아들이며 직접적으로 디스했다.[5] 자세한 내용은 후술.

크루 전체가 지원을 했고, 지원영상은 7월에 이미 보내졌다고 한다.

K$AP의 대한민국 래퍼들의 정해진 성공 루트에 대한 비판 가사가 특징이며 가사를 안절고 지원 영상을 찍는데 2시간이 넘게 걸렸다고 한다.

포이즌의 자신과 교제했던 여친들의 성격과 좋아하는 것 그리고 싫어하는 것을 차례로 소개하는 랩으로 본인이 여성들에게 인기가 많다는 점을 알리기 위한 가사가 특징이다. 영상을 찍는데는 5분이 채 안걸렸다고 한다.

릴섹시의 자신감과 본인이 남자한테 인기가 많고 매력이 있다는 점을 어필하는 내용으로 K$AP과 포이즌과 다르게 가사를 숙지하지 못해 모니터에 띄운채로 랩을 했다. 비록 가사를 모니터에 띄웠지만 지원 영상 퀄리티를 위하여 K$AP과 포이즌에게 리액션 연기를 시키는 바람에 영상을 찍는데 어느 정도 시간이 걸린 것으로 추정된다. 그리고 1차 예선 현장에서 목격되었다. 영상심사는 통과한 것으로 보인다.

이후 예고편에서 K$AP RAMA가 목격되면서 실제로 참여했음이 밝혀졌다. 일부 참가자들의 증언에 의하면 그루비룸의 휘민에게 수많은 샤라웃을 받았으나 탈락했다고 하며, 어디까지나 썰이기에 자세한 내용은 본방이 시작되고 나서 판단할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

SHOW ME THE MONEY 1화 선공개 영상에서 케이셉 라마는 물론 포이즌 머쉬룸까지 등장함으로써 남성멤버들은 전부 1차 예선에 진출한 것이 알려졌다.

'M생을 찾아서' 출연하여 케이셉 라마와 포이즌 머쉬룸이 그루비룸 휘민에게 심사를 받았으나 탈락한 사실이 밝혀졌다.[6] 그리고 릴 섹시는 1차예선에 박재범에게 심사를 받았다고 주장했으나 실제로는 안 갔다는 게 밝혀졌다.[7]

이 영상의 5초에 포이즌 머쉬룸이 등장하고, 7초와 1분 12초에 케이셉 라마가 등장한다. 1분 12초에서는 케이셉 라마가 랩을 하는 장면도 살짝 나오는데 두 번째로 나온 곡인 'I don't kare'의 '싹 다 학폭당했어'라는 가사가 나온다.

M생을 찾아서 맨스티어 편에서 말하길, Lil sexy는 그 곳에 가지도 않았고, 맨스티어가 TV에 비춘 총 분량은 0.2초밖에 안 될정도로 완전한 통편집을 당했고 둘 모두 가차없이 1차에서 떨어졌다고 한다.

디스전에서 현장 심사단으로 3명 모두 출연하였다.

5.1. 최제우와의 디스전

[힙합의 소리] 현직 유튜버 맨스티어 케이셉라마 도발? 디스전 총정리

개그 유튜브 뷰티풀너드로 활동 중인 최제우가 '힙찔이들 가사 특'이라는 Men's Tear어의 대표곡 "은행을 털어"를 짜집기해서 재편집한 영상을 쇼츠로 업로드했다.
그러자 K$AP RAMA는 이에 대해 자신의 유튜브에서 불편함을 드러냈다. 이에 최제우는 솔직히 ㅈ나 못해 보이는게 사실이에요, 꼬우시면 쇼미 나오시던가라며 케이셉을 도발했고, SHOW ME THE MONEY 10 지원영상을 올리며 다시 한번 디스했다.

뭔 소린지 헷갈리는 사람들을 위해 첨언하자면 1인 2역으로 자신을 공격하는 영상을 찍어올렸다는 것이다. 2024년 pH-1 - Men's Tear 디스전에서도 헷갈려하는 사람들이 많은지 해당 영상이 재발굴되어서 Men's Tear가 억울하게 까이곤 했다. 이 디스전마저도 컨셉이라는 게 알려지자 페이크 다큐, 부캐의 진정한 재미는 이런 어리둥절하는 사람들 보고 웃는 거라는 말까지 나올 정도.

pH-1이 디스곡을 발표했다.(링크) 개그 유튜버로서 만든 위 문단의 상황극과는 달리 이쪽은 실제 디스전이다. pH-1의 디스곡을 요약하자면 "너네 재미도 있고 소위 말하는 '자칭 래퍼'라는 애들보다 랩 잘하는 건 아는데 선은 지켜라"라는 내용. pH-1은 이 곡이 발매되기 직전의 힙합 플레이야 페스티벌에서 '래퍼인 척하는 사람들. 조회수 올리려고 어그로 끌고, 래퍼들 놀리고, 진짜 그러다 큰코 다칩니다'라고 발언하기도 했다. 이후 맨스티어는 대구힙합페스티벌에서 '뒷담까지 말고 앞담을 까라. 우린 큰코 다치긴커녕 돈 잘 번다. 불편하면 자세를 고쳐 앉아라'라고 대응. 그리고 이번 디스곡은 그 직후에 드랍되었다.

사실 이전에도 pH-1은 맨스티어에 대해 진지하게 앨범을 만들고 음악을 해봤다면 래퍼들을 그런 식으로 희화화할 수는 없을 것이라는 언급을 하기도 했고, 이번 디스곡 이전에 발표한 무료 공개 곡(링크)에서도 현재 혐오와 조롱으로 가득 찬 씬에 대한 이야기를 하며 맨스티어를 언급하기도 했었다. 또한 맨스티어는 과거 자신들의 유튜브 컨텐츠에서 'pH-1은 싱잉랩이지 힙합이 아니다'라는 발언을 한 적이 있다(링크). 다만 이 곡에서는 '왜 개그맨들한테 열받아 있어?'라고 말하고 있어 이번 디스곡은 맨스티어와 짜고 치는 매치업 아니냐는 의심도 받았으나, 오왼과의 카톡으로 실제 디스전임이 밝혀졌다.

결국 케이셉 또한 맞디스곡 hp-1을 발표했다. 댓글에서 예상한 대로 pH-1이 검머외라는 사실과 미스터리 음악쇼 복면가왕에서 무득표 받은 흑역사를 소재로 디스했다.

디스전은 이센스의 감스트 방송 출연을 기점으로 소강 상태에 접어들어 사실상 종료된 분위기다.

5.2.1. 디스전 이후

이후 맨스티어가 7월 14일에 하는 단독 콘서트의 티켓 예매율이 심각할 정도로 매우 저조하였고,[8] 가뜩이나 한국 힙합씬을 향한 과한 사이버불링 논란 및 해당 이슈에 대한 대중적 관심이 슬슬 빠지는 타이밍과 맞물리면서 옹호 의견이 줄고 비판이 더욱 늘어났다.

특히, pH-1은 같은 공연장인 예스24 라이브홀을 오픈 직후 매진시켰다는 점이 상기되며 비교되어 비판받고 있다. 이에 대해 뷰티풀너드 측은 본인들에 대한 관련 비판 댓글들을 모두 삭제하는 식으로 대응하였는데, pH-1과 이센스를 위시한 래퍼들에 대한 패드립과 같은 원색적인 비난 댓글들은 그대로 두고 아직까지도 삭제하고 있지 않은 마당에 본인들을 비판하거나 조롱하는 댓글은 삭제를 하는 내로남불식의 태도로 인해 여론이 더욱 급격히 악화되어 맨스티어 컨텐츠는 특별한 사유를 말하지 않고 황급히 종료했다.

맨스티어 컨텐츠 종료 이후 MZ를 찾아서가 럽코물 + 밴드물로 전환하면서 대성공을 거두면서 맨스티어는 그대로 잊혀져버렸고, 2025년 3월 9일 MZ를 찾아서에서 특별출연하며 포이즌의 잠적으로 언더그라운드를 못 찍고 있어서 맨스티어가 해체되었음을 알리는 듯 싶었지만... 귀신같이 쇼미더머니가 신작으로 돌아오자 MZ를 찾아서 설정은 무시한 뒤 포이즌이 돌아오며 맨스티어 컨텐츠가 다시 부활했다. 반응은 당연히 호불호가 갈리는 중.

5.3. 단독 콘서트 'AK!' 티켓 가격 논란

단독 콘서트를 스탠딩 8만 8천 원, 지정석 5만 5천 원의 가격으로 판매했었고 공연을 일주일 앞두고도 1,800석 중 1,200석 정도가 남아있었다. 하지만 가격이 지나치게 비싸다는 비판이 많았다.[9]

결국, 공연 당일 겨우 500석 남짓 밖에 채우질 못하며 단독 콘서트는 제대로 망해버렸다.# 이에 Men's Tear는 잠정 은퇴를 한다고 밝혔다.

6. 여담

M생을 찾아서 까지의 맨스티어 편을 보면 현재 심각한 재정난을 겪는 것으로 보인다. K$AP RAMA의 신념인 래퍼는 꼭 돈은 랩을 통해서만 벌어야 하고 아르바이트 같은 것은 절대 하면 안 된다라는 신념으로 돈을 제대로 벌지를 못해서 생활비도 부모님한테 받아 가면서 살고 있었으나 결국 아버지에게 방을 빼라는 소식까지 들었다.
K$AP RAMA는 공연 이후 평범하게 직장 생활을 하고 있다가 Poison Mushroom과 Eardrum Buster의 설득에 못 이겨 얼마 못 가서 다시 맨스티어로 돌아왔다. Poison Mushroom은 사촌 형[10] 집에서 얹혀 살면서 랩을 하고 있다.
