대한민국의 로봇 개발, 연구 회사이다.

1999년 설립한 자율주행로봇 전문기업 로보티즈는 25년 동안 로봇만을 해온 회사이다.

SW/HW 모두 자체 기술로 개발하여 자율주행로봇(GAEMI), 올인원 스마트 로봇 액츄에이터(DYNAMIXEL), 감속기(DYD(Cycloid)), 매니퓰레이터 등의 원천기술을 보유하고 있으며 꾸준히 시장을 확장해 나가고 있다.

2.1.1. 바이올로이드 시리즈 (BIOLOID)

아이들을 위한 창의력 개발용 교재보로 쓰이는, 거의 과학상자 수준의 단순한 제품에서부터 로봇 연구 목적으로 이용되는 복잡한 고급형태까지 다양한 종류가 있으며, 각 부위별로 정교한 부품들이 다량 이용되므로 가격대는 상대적으로 높은 편이다.

로보티즈 IoT(바이올로이드 아님): 사물인터넷을 직접 만들어볼 수 있는 패키지화 된 제품.

참고로 아두이노가 아닌 opencm7.0을 기반으로 한다.

로보티즈 아이디어(마찬가지로 바이올로이드 아님): 6단계에 걸쳐 차근차근 로봇공학에 접근할 수 있는 아동용 제품.

다윈 미니(마찬가지로 다윈이라는 다른 라인업의 로봇임): 소형, 저가 휴머노이드. 50만원이 안되는 가격에 완제품 휴머노이드를 소유할 수 있어 로봇공학 입문자의 진입장벽을 한단계 더 낮췄다는 평가를 받는다. 바이올로이드 휴머노이드 라인의 입문기. 서보가 기존 ax12, ax18이 아니라 별도로 개발된 소형서보(XL320)를 사용하기 때문에 기존 바이올로이드 휴머노이드에 비해 크기가 많이 작아졌다. 그리고 이 로봇은 모터에 RGB LED가 들어오는 마지막 로봇이 되었다. 다만 보행 모션이 빈약하고 내구성이 약해 전문 연구용으로는 추천되지 않는다.

바이올로이드 프리미엄: 인간형 휴머노이드의 기본적인 동작구현이 가능한 제품으로 바디소재가 엔지니어링 플라스틱이다.(강화된 플라스틱이라고 생각하면 편함) 모터는 AX12A(1.5Nm,59rpm) 을 사용하고 있으며, 연구목적 보다는 인간형 로봇의 모션 프로그래밍 학습용에 가깝다. 가격은 정가 110만원.[1]

바이올로이드 GP: 대회 및 로보틱스 연구자용 휴머노이드로, 형태나 크기는 프리미엄과 비슷하나 구현된 부위가 더 세부적이고 모터의 힘이 상체AX12A(1.5Nm,59rpm), 하체AX18A(1.8Nm,97rpm)로 강화되어 조금 더 복잡하고 어려운 동작을 구현할 수 있다. 바디소재가 알루미늄이라 내구성도 높다. 실제로 구동 영상을 보면 보행 속도나 움직임이 빠른 것을 알 수 있다. 가격은 국내 구입시 정가 279만원, 미국에선 290만원 선.

2.1.2. 드림 (DREAM)

전체적인 부품 구성은 올로와 유사하다.[2]

현재 로보로보와 함께 국내의 로봇올림피아드와 같은 대회에서 초등학생들이 쓰는 키트 2탑중 하나이다.

성격은 로보로보가 dc100rpm 모터로 엄청난 힘을 발휘하여 로봇 밀어내기와 같은 배틀게임에서는 한없이 유리하다면,
드림은 자체제작 감속,서보모터로 로보로보 보다는 힘에서 많이 부치치만 자체제작 모터의 특유의 정고함으로 배틀큐브,상자넘기기 등 정교한 작업에 유리하다고 볼 수 있다.

2.1.3. 스마트 (SMART)

조립 부품은 드림에서 여러 가지가 확장된 느낌. 제어기도 달라졌으며 색약센서, 자석센서 등 센서도 몇 개 추가되었고 모터도 많이 사용하며 그 때문에 프로그래밍도 드림보다 복잡하고 난해하다. 무엇보다 스마트폰을 블루투스로 연동해 조종한다. 나중에 4단계로 가게 되면 2개인 드림과는 달리 무수히 많은 5핀 포트에 수많은 서보 모터를 연결하여 고급 난이도의 로봇을 만들 수 있게 된다.

제품군은 두 가지.

로보티즈 스마트 (단종)
로보티즈 스마트 II: 건전지를 사용하던 기존판과는 달리 충전 가능한 이온전지를 사용한다.
로보티즈 스마트 lll: 만들 수 있는 로봇의 종류가 기존 스마트 시리즈보다 많다.

유치원생 수준의 로봇 키트로 플라스틱 박스에 들어있다.
일종의 돌봄용 로봇 키트다.

2.1.6. 로보티즈 엔지니어 키트

2021년 7월을 기준으로 키트1과 키트2가 있으며
각각 3가지 로봇을 만들 수 있다.
기존 프리미엄 시리즈나 GP에 있는 Dynamixel-AX 시리즈에서 모터가 Dynamixel-X로 넘어오면서 모션이 부드러워졌다는 평이 있다.
키트 1에서는 2XL430-W250-T 라는 1개의 모듈에 2개의 구동축을 가진 모터로 크기는 줄이면서 표현할 수 있는 모션의 수는 늘려주는 방식을 이용하였다. 하지만 휴머노이드 타입인 MAX-E1은 자유도가 12축으로, 보행시 평행 링크를 사용하여 걷기 때문에 정교한 보행 및 모션을 원한다면 키트2를 이용하여 모터 5개가 추가된 MAX-E2를 선택해야 한다.

2.2. 발매한 부품

2.2.1. 다이나믹셀

로보티즈가 만드는 액츄에이터 서보모터다.
로보티즈의 제품뿐만 아니라 세계의 다양한 로봇에 사용된다.
처음에는 기존의 PWM신호로 작동하는 아날로그 서보모터와 구동방법이 다른 디지털 서보코터인지라 진입장벽이 존재하는 편이지만 익숙해지면 RAM영역의 데이터를 실시간으로 읽고 쓰고 할 수 있기에 복잡한 작업의 구현에 적합하다.
dynamixelSDK라는 소프트웨어개발툴을 지원하고 있으며 C, C++, C#, 파이썬, 자바, 매트랩등을 지원한다.

간단한 조작의 경우 로보티즈에서 제공하는 다이나믹셀 위자드 2.0을 이용하여 다이나믹셀의 주소와 작동모드 등을 변경할 수 있다.

다이나믹셀의 작동모드는 각 다이나믹셀에 따라 다르나 일반적으로 지정된 각도까지 0~300도까지 4095(최대 65534)등분해서 약0.088도의 해상도를 가지는 위치모드(Position Control Mode, Extended Position Control Mode)
무한회전을 지원하는 속도모드(Velocity Control mode)
기존의 아날로그 서보모터와 비슷한 기능을 지원하는 무한회전 PWM 속도모드가 있다.

모든 다이나믹셀은 과부하 시 OverLoad신호를 송출하며 토크를 해제하여 스스로의 파손을 방지하는 기능을 가지고 있다.

로보티즈가 만드는 로봇의 기본 뼈대다.

2.2.3. 리벳

교육용 키트에 사용되는 부품이다 볼트와 너트를 쓰기 어려운 어린이 교육 키트에
쓰이며 주로 플라스틱 재질이다.

2.3.1. 휴머노이드 시리즈

로보티즈 OP3: 로보티즈 OP2의 후속작이며 디자인이 원래의 OP 시리즈의 디자인에서 다른 디자인으로 바뀌었다. 하지만 이 디자인이 호불호가 갈리는데 불호쪽이 더 많으며 원래의 OP 디자인이 더 낫다고 하는 사람이 많다.[3] PC 도 Intel i3 로 변경되었고, 액츄에이터가 OP2 에서는 MX-28 이 사용되었으나 OP3 에서는 XM430 이 사용되었다.

로보티즈 똘망: 실제 인간과 비슷한 크기의 휴머노이드. DARPA 로봇대회에 출전해 세계 각지의 쟁쟁한 경쟁자들을 뚫고 결선까지 진출했다. 첫 번째 미션인 자동차 운전하기에서는 엄청난 기록을 세우며 우승을 노리고 있었으나 두 번째 미션에서 정말 아쉽게도 다른 로봇들의 움직임으로 기울어져있던 바닥때문에 결국 이것을 극복하지 못하고 넘어져 시간이 지체돼서 우승에는 실패했다. 그래도 우승은 대한민국의 KAIST가 만든 HUBO 가 차지했다.연구소나 돈 많은 개인이 주문하여 구매할 수 있다. 수십 개의 Dynamixel-P 시리즈로 작동하며, 가격은 7천만원 선.

2.3.2. 터틀봇 시리즈

전문가용 로봇 치곤 상당히 저렴한 가격을 가지고 있는 로봇이다.

2.4. 단종된 키트

2.4.1. 올로 (OLLO)

로봇을 입문하기에 안성맞춤인 키트이다.

총 4가지의 키트(단계) 로 구성되어 있으며, 만들어진 프로그램을 적용시켜서 로봇을 작동시키거나, 자신이 직접 프로그래밍 할 수 있다.

프로그래밍 툴은 JAVA를 기반으로 로보티즈에서 자체개발한 ROBOPLUS 2.0을 사용한다.

드림 발매와 동시에 단종되었다.

2.4.2. 로보티즈 스템

중학생용 교육 로봇이다.
현재는 로보티즈 엔지니어가 그 자리를 대체해서
단종되었다.

2.4.3. 전문가용 로봇

로보티즈 DarWIn OP (1.0/2.0): 바이올로이드 개인용 휴머노이드의 끝판왕.데니스 홍 교수가 개발했으며, 가격은 현재 네이버 최저가 990만원. 일반인 대상 판매가 아니라 연구용으로 주문제작하는 방식이라 가격이 매우 비싸나, 개발자 데니스홍 교수의 말에 의하면 가격은 지속적으로 떨어질 것이라고 한다. 초기 발매가는 1200만원 (해외 $12,000) 이었다. 2.0은 1.0에서 컴퓨터가 업그레이드 되었다.현재는 단종되었다.

로보티즈 OP2: 로보티즈 다윈 OP의 후속작이며 색깔도 검은색에서 흰색으로 바뀌었다. 공식몰을 기준으로 현재는 단종되었다.

3. 소프트웨어

[1] 항목 작성 이전에는 초급키트와 종합키트가 있었다. 각각 28만원과 60만원대의 가격이었으나 현재는 단종되었다. 중고품 판매처에서 의외로 싼 가격에 구할 수 있으며 초급키트의 경우는 초급형태의 로봇을 종합키트의 경우 중급형태의 로봇을 조립할 수 있다. 당연히 프리미엄 키트는 고급형태의 로봇을 조립 가능하며 초급키트를 구매해도 AX-12모터를 4개만 추가구입하면 중급키트 조립이 가능하다 모터의 가격은 3만원대 후반.) 오래 사용하게되면 나사가 풀려 유격이 심해지고 무게중심이 완전하지 않아져 조립설명서 대로 조립해도 넘어지거나 흔들거리는 등 여러모로 연구목적에는 부합하지 않는다. 교육용으로 적합하다.현재 로봇 올림피아드나 steam cup등 국내 로봇대회에서 가장 많이 사용되는 키트이다[2] 올로와의 가장 큰 차이점이라면, 건전지를 사용하던 올로와는 달리 이쪽은 충전 가능한 리튬이온전지를 사용한다. 그 밖에 올로에는 없는 부품도 일부 추가되었으니 올로의 개량판이라고 보면 될 듯.[3] OP3의 디자인이 사마귀 같다고 지적하는 경우가 많다.
