1995년 6월 11일, 나이지리아 라고스에서 태어났다. 본명 테밀라데는 요루바어에서 유래했으며, 요루바 민족이다. 가족은 템스가 다섯 살 때 영국으로 이민했다가 부모님의 이혼으로 나이지리아로 돌아갔다.

2018년에 싱글 "Mr Rebel"로 데뷔했다.
