1. 개요
영국 잉글랜드 버크셔 레딩[2]에 위치한 공립 대학교.옥스퍼드 대학교의 크라이스트 처치(Christ Church) 컬리지의 평생교육원(Extension College)으로 유니버시티 칼리지, 레딩(University College, Reading) 이란 교명으로 1892년 설립되었다. 이후 1926년 3월 17일 왕실 칙령에 의해 공식적인 종합 대학으로서의 법적 지위를 갖게 되었으며, 교명 또한 현재와 같은 University of Reading으로 변경되었다.
