진부동 작가의 판타지 소설. 1번 항목과는 완전히 무관하다.아버지의 죽음에 관계된 퓨러스라는 돌을 이용해 아버지의 흔적을 쫓던 천재 검사 론은, 태양신교가 퓨러스를 추적하여 파괴하려는 것을 알게 되고 아버지가 퓨러스와 관련된 비밀결사의 일원이었음을 알게 된다. 비밀 결사는 이전 마계로부터 인간 세상을 구한 황제가 그의 존재로 인해 다시 세상이 마계와 연결되게 만든다는 것을 알려주고, 론은 아버지의 유지를 이어 황제를 죽이기 위한 비밀 결사에 가담하는데….
진부동의 전작은 스키퍼, 디펜더, 머큐리 등이 있고 2010년 후반기 출간 예정으로 문벽산이 있다. 해양 판타지 스키퍼는 상당히 잘 쓴 양판소 내지 볼만한 판타지 소설이었고, 진부동은 후속작을 이어오면서 기존 양판소와는 약간 다른 나름대로의 설정(세계관?)을 잡아온 바가 있다. 하지만 그게 너무 자주 반복되다 보니 킬더킹에 이르러서는 조금 식상해진 감이 있다.
3. 록밴드 레인보우의 곡
레인보우의 3집 Long Live Rock N' Roll에 수록된 5번째 곡. 1976년 Rising Tour 에서 처음 선보였다.[1] 처음 공개된 76년부터 디오가 탈퇴한 78년까지 라이브에서 인트로[2] 뒤에 바로 킬더킹을 연주하는 것이 불문율이었다. 리치 블랙모어의 아르페지오 3연음 주법이 돋보이는 곡으로,[3] 시대를 뛰어넘는 명곡이라고 추앙받기도 한다.
폭력적인 가사 때문에 한국에서는 1980년대 후반까지 금지곡으로 지정되었던적이 있다.
사실 이 곡의 가사는 체스를 묘사하고 있다. 가사를 봐도 "퀸이 죽이려고 해(Queen's about to kill)", "나를 위험 앞에서 옮겨줘(move me out of harm)," "난 폰이 아니야(I'm no pawn)" 등 체스를 연상시키는 가사가 많다. 다만 "그(왕)의 왕관을 뺏어야 해(Got to take his crown)," "그를 쳐죽여. 시민들이 포효를 해(Strike him dead. The people roar)"란 부분을 들어보면 체스에 빗대어 혁명을 묘사한 듯 보이기도 한다. 애초에 직접적으로 왕을 죽이라, 쳐죽여라, 참수하라(take his head)라는 가사가 나오기 때문에 속뜻이 어떻든 당시 분위기상 검열을 피하긴 무리였다.

4. 메가데스의 곡
메가데스의 컴필레이션 앨범 Capitol Punishment에 수록된 1번째 곡. 인트로 리프가 굉장히 인상적이라는 평을 많이 받는다. 3번째 항목과는 관계 없다.

[1] 라이징 투어 실황을 담은 On Stage 앨범과 1977년 유럽 투어 실황 앨범에도 첫번째 트랙으로 수록되어있다.[2] 오즈의 마법사에서 도로시의 대사 'We must be over the rainbow!' 샘플링이 나오고 Somewhere Over the Rainbow의 도입부를 연주.[3] 전성기시절 솔로부분에서 많이 우려먹었다. 딥퍼플 시절의 하이웨이 스타, 번에서도 3연음 기타솔로를 지겹게 들을 수 있다.
