인터뷰에 따르면 작업실에서 쓴 곡으로 버스 안에서의 느낌을 담았다고 한다. 본인 말에 따르면 "가끔 버스에서 거울로 자신의 모습을 보면 못생기고 외로운 것처럼 보일 때가 있다. 그런 감정을 담았다."라고 한다.

해당 곡을 처음 건낸 것은 프로듀서였던 구름으로 당시 백예린은 이상하다고 생각했다 한다. 하지만 구름의 설명을 듣고 이해했다고.

해당 곡이 백예린이 처음 작사, 작곡한 곡이라고 한다. 본인은 해당 곡에 대해 "처음 이 곡을 썼을 때는 굉장히 거칠(Rough)었다. 하지만 구름과 함께 곡을 다듬을 수 있었다." "이 곡은 나의 인격(Personality)에 관한 곡이다. 외롭고 공허한 기분에 대한 곡이다."라고 말했다.

5. 여담

11월 말에 나온 노래이기 때문에 2015년에는 차트인에 실패하였다. 하지만 역으로 2016년 가온차트에서는 연간 차트 73위에 올랐다.
음악 리뷰 사이트 izm에서는 3점을 받았다. izm
이번 곡을 쓰면서 헤어 스타일을 변경하였는데 기존의 장발에서 노란 단발로 스타일을 바꾸었다. 이에 대해 본인은 "뭔가 바뀐 것을 보여주고 싶었다. 그냥 '자르지 뭐' 하면서 잘랐다."라고 밝혔다.
해당 앨범에 수록된 곡 중 세 곡은 구름이 준 트랙에 본인이 가사를 쓴 것이고 나머지 세 곡은 본인이 작사, 작곡 모두 하였다고 밝혔다.
본인은 'That's why'를 음악적 완성도 부분에서 좋아한다 밝혔지만 감정적으로는 '혼자 두지 마'를 가장 좋아한다 밝혔다.
