3. 배경

저스틴 비버의 Justice 앨범 수록곡으로, 빌보드 역사상 50번째 1위 데뷔곡이다. 발매 직후 바로 1위 데뷔로 핫샷 데뷔를 기록했으며, Justice 앨범 또한 빌보드 200 1위를 달성했다.[7] 빌보드 핫 100에서는 1주 1위를 차지한 뒤 Lil Nas X의 곡 "MONTERO"에 의해 내려왔다. 고점은 높지 않지만, 스트리밍에서 낙폭이 적고 라디오 순항도 이어졌지만 여름까지 쭉 우세를 점하던 MONTERO에 밀려 빌보드 연말차트에선 10위를 차지했다.

곡은 2020년 여름, 저스틴 비버가 숀 멘데스와 프로듀서 앤드류 와트의 집에서 드럼과 피아노를 즉흥 연주하며 코러스를 만든 것에서 시작되었다. 비버는 이것의 짤막한 클립을 인스타그램에 공개하였는데, 이를 본 프로듀서 shndō는 영상을 녹화하여 속도를 조절하고 드럼을 추가했고, 이어 Hary가 기타와 베이스를 더해 곡의 기반을 만들었다. 최종적으로 이것을 전해 들은 비버가 마음에 들어하며 코러스를 다시 녹음하고 새로운 벌스를 추가하여 곡을 완성했다. 캐나다의 다니엘 시저와 미국의 GIVĒON이 피처링으로 참여했으며, 비버가 직접 연락하여 협업을 성사시켰다. 뮤직비디오는 라스베이거스 스트립에서 Colin Tilley 감독이 촬영했으며, 2022년 제64회 그래미 어워드에서는 올해의 레코드상, 올해의 노래상, 베스트 R&B 퍼포머상, 베스트 뮤직 비디오상 네 부문에 노미네이트 되어[8] 비버와 시저, GIVĒON이 함께 라이브 무대도 선보였다.

한국에서는 "Love Yourself"를 넘는 대히트를 기록하며, 멜론 24Hits을 포함한 대부분의 음원 차트에서 1위를 차지했다.

2021년 6월 7일에는 루다크리스, 어셔, 스눕 독이 참여한 리믹스가 발매되었다.
